As a creative maker of clay, I often find that the most beautiful pieces are raku fired. This process of firing an outdoor kiln, so that I could produce the flashy and crackle glazes. Because the ceramic is very low fired, it does not hold liquid nor considered food safe. The raku and horsehair products are for display and are conversation starters. However, if the work is marked "stoneware" it is safe for kitchen and table use. Contact me for additional information.
